Lloyd, a former student-athlete at Drury University and the University of Louisville, enters his first year at NSU after serving as the volunteer assistant coach for the University of Indianapolis for the past year. While at UINDY, Lloyd helped coach the men’s team to a 15th place finish at the 2016 Div. II National Tournament.
As a swimmer at DU, Lloyd was a four-time NCAA All-American and two-time NCAA All-American Honorable Mention selection. As a senior, Lloyd was on the National Champion 400 Free-Relay team that broke the National record (2:54.37) and was also on the fifth-place 800 Free-Relay team (6:33.21). While at Louisville, he was a two-time NCAA national qualifier and a two-time NCAA All-American Honorable Mention pick.
Additionally, since August 2015, Lloyd has put in time as the head age-group coach of the Warren Aquatics Club where he helped coach 10 and under swimmers to 12 Top-8 state finishes. Lloyd has also served in the past as an assistant coach for Warren Central High School and Springfield Aquatics, where he also spent time as the head masters swim coach.
Lloyd earned his bachelor of arts in advertising and public relations from Drury, where he graduated from in May 2015.
