FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern women’s basketball team is currently preparing for the 2011-12 season, the first under new head coach LeAnn Freeland and her staff.
 
The Sharks finished last season with a 14-13, 6-10 SSC record and return 11 student-athletes from that squad. A trio of newcomers join the team this season, two freshmen and a junior transfer, as NSU looks to move up the conference standings and make the NCAA tournament for first time since the 2007-08 season.
 
Coach Freeland sat down with NSUSharks.com and discussed the positives she sees in the early stages of practice, what the incomers can contribute to the team and a couple goals the team has heading into the rigors of their schedule.
