FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University volleyball team will auction off its pink jerseys to raise money for the Side-Out Foundation to support its efforts to find a cure for breast cancer.
The Sharks will host a live chat Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 6-8 p.m., where fans have the opportunity to bid for the pink jersey worn by each member of the volleyball team on Oct. 21 against Central Oklahoma.
Each jersey will start at $50.00 with a $5.00 increase for each bid.
Proceeds will be distributed among research teams focused on target therapies and molecular profiling as well as "living with cancer" organizations nationwide.
Starting at 6 p.m., fans can leave a comment below with the number jersey they want to bid on and then how much.
The winners can send a check or money order made to the The Side-Out Foundation, or fans can send the money through the site.
