DAVIE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern baseball team took time away from the fall season to participate in the
Greg Brown’s Baseball Coaches Clinic Friday, Nov. 4.
The clinic, held at Bamford Park in Davie, Fla., was aimed at both players and coaches from the Davie Little League Travel Program. Topics of discussion included practice plans, time management, hitting, pitching, infield and outfield play and catching.
“Watching the interaction between our NSU players and the little league kids, as well as seeing how the other coaches handled themselves definitely made me proud to be a part of everything,” said Brown.
The clinic was an opportunity for young players to learn more about the sport of baseball. It also gave the coaches the opportunity to observe and learn from various coaching styles.
Coach Brown says he is looking to continue building a strong relationship with this organization. “We’ve gotten great responses in such a short amount of time. We have an awesome time with the kids and the info they’re receiving is very beneficial for them.”
Brown stated that the baseball team will continue to volunteer in the community as they gear up for the 2012 season.
