WINTER PARK, Fla. – Senior Sandra Changkija (Orlando, Fla.) was named the Sunshine State Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week on Monday, April 11 as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Changkija earned the nod by winning the Hoya Invitational, hosted by Georgetown, on April 3rd at the 6,125 yard, par 72 Members Club at Four Streams in Beallsville, Md. She fired the only sub-par first round, 71, to capture a lead that she would never relinquish. Changkija shot a 75 in round two to earn her fourth individual medalist of the year by three shots.

Changkija paced the Sharks to a four shot victory last week for their fourth consecutive victory of the season. With NSU being the only non-Division I team in the field, the Sharks defended their crown while placing three players in the top-15 for the tournament.
