SCHEDULE

 FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern women’s basketball has released its 2011-12 schedule. The Sharks, who finished last season with a 14-13, 6-10 SSC record, will open up the coming season on its home court against Valdosta State Fri., Nov. 11 at 5:30 p.m. That game will be the second of the NSU Tip-Off Classic.

On Saturday, Nov. 12, the Sharks will then host Columbus State at 8 p.m. to wrap up the Classic. Concordia-St. Paul will visit NSU Arena a week later in a 2 p.m. matchup with Puerto Rico-Mayaguez following Mon., Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.

The Sharks will then host the NSU Thanksgiving Classic, Nov. 25-26. NSU will battle Bemidji State on Friday and Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday. NSU will take to the road for the first time Nov. 30 when it visits Florida Memorial at 5 p.m.

Barry kicks off conference play when it visits Fort Lauderdale for a 2 p.m. game on Dec. 3. A week later on the 10th, NSU makes the trip to Eckerd to take on the Tritons at 2 p.m. A visit from 2011 Final Four participant Shaw (Dec. 13) and a trip to Valdosta State (Dec. 30) wrap up the 2011 calendar year.

The New Year kicks off with visits from Florida Tech (Jan. 4) and Florida Southern (Jan. 7). On Jan. 14 the Sharks will make the trip to Tampa for a Saturday afternoon contest with the Spartans. Lynn (Jan. 18) and Saint Leo (Jan. 21) head to the NSU Arena to take on the Sharks before NSU heads out on the road with trips to Rollins (Jan. 25) and Barry (Jan. 28).

February begins with a home game against Eckerd (Feb. 1) before the Sharks take to the road again with trips to Florida Southern (Feb. 4) and Florida Tech (Feb. 8). On Saturday, Feb. 11, Tampa makes the return trip to NSU for a 2 p.m. matchup.

Three more away games await the Sharks following the Tampa game, as they visit Palm Beach Atlantic (Feb. 15), Saint Leo (Feb. 18) and Lynn (Feb. 22). The regular season concludes with a home game against Rollins Feb. 25 at 2 p.m.
