Baseball Participates in Buddy Walk to Raise Awareness for Individuals with Down Syndrome

Sharks walked in Cameron’s Crew to support fellow baseball player Shane Hill’s brother.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University baseball team took time away from the field to participate in the Buddy Walk in North Beach Park on Sunday, Oct. 28.

The Buddy Walk helps raise awareness for individuals who have Down syndrome. The walk was led by the individuals with Down syndrome and their buddies.

NSU raised funds and walked as part of “Cameron’s Crew” to support fellow teammate Shane Hill’s family in their quest to gain pledges in support of Hill’s brother, Cameron.

“Supporting Cameron’s Crew in the Buddy Walk was a great opportunity for our team to help an extended member of the Shark family raise money for a great cause.” Said head coach Greg Brown. “Having gotten to know Cameron through Shane Hill over the last two years has been an honor and we are glad to lend our support.  Cameron’s spirit and love of baseball has made this a natural cause for our team to get behind.”

Cameron will lend his support for the Sharks, as he will be sitting on the side-lines cheering on the Sharks when they start their regular season.
