WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern tennis team will travel back to Central Florida to compete in the C.L. Varner Memorial Invitational, hosted by Rollins, beginning Friday, Oct. 5.

The Sharks enter the tournament after a strong performance at ITA Regionals. There, several newcomers had their first experience competing in the strong South Region. This weekend will be no different, as several regional opponents fill out the weekend bracket.

Last year, the tournament was a bit of a letdown for several teams, as it was cancelled due to inclement weather midway through the weekend. Alexandra Johansson (So., Sydney, Australia) had won her first match of the weekend and looked to have herself a breakout tournament before weather ended play. This coming weekend, freshman such as Carlee Rizzolo (Livingston, N.J.) and Luisa Pintado (Guadelajara, Mexico) will look to achieve that same goal.
