Taylor Ties for Eighth in Prestigious Western Refining College All-American Golf Classic

EL PASO, Texas.
– Nova Southeastern men’s golfer No. 1 Benjamin Taylor (Jr., Leatherhead, England) wrapped up play today in the 38th edition of the Western Refining College All-American Golf Classic. The two-day event in El Paso featured a field of 23 total competitors, Taylor landed eighth on the leaderboard out of the nation's top colligiate golfers.

Over three rounds, 54 holes of play at the Par-71 El Paso Country Club, Taylor carded an eight-under (71-67-67—205) in the tournament. Finishing eighth on the leaderboard, Taylor was only six strokes off the top finisher, Kevin Penner from UNLV, who shot a -14 (65-66-68—199).

Sixteen strokes were all that separated the top from the bottom in this tight lock battle of the nations top colligate All-American golfers.
