Noah Goldman Named Assistant Coach for Golf Programs

Goldman will assume assistant coaching duties on Sept. 10.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.  – Nova Southeastern University head men’s and women’s golf head coaches Ryan Jamison and Amanda Brown announced Noah Goldman as the new assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s golf programs. Goldman will assume his assistant coaching duties with the defending national champion Sharks programs on Sept. 10.
 
Goldman comes to NSU after serving one year as the women’s golf volunteer assistant coach at NCAA Division I Samford University in Birmingham, Ala. During the 2011-12 season, he helped guide the Bulldog women’s golf program to nine top-10 finishes in 11 tournaments, which included two tournament wins and five top-5 finishes. He also assisted the program in daily practices, team travel, recruiting and monitoring academic progress of the student-athletes.
 
Prior to his one-year stint at Samford, Goldman played two years professionally on the Hooters Golf Tour and the Peach State Tour. While on the Hooters Tour, he finished in the money three times in eight tournaments.
 
As a collegian, Goldman competed four years with NCAA Division I Mississippi State, a member of the highly touted Southeastern Conference (SEC). While with the MSU Bulldogs, he ranked among the program’s career best with the third-most career tournament wins (4), fifth in career scoring average (73.99) and sixth in single-season scoring average (72.82). He was also named SEC Golfer of the Week twice during his career and a NGCA/PING All-Region selection while also helping lead MSU to the NCAA Division I men’s regional in 2008.
 
Prior to his collegiate career, Goldman was a two-time honorable mention member of the American Junior Golf Association’s Polo All-American team in 2003 and 2004 and named to the AJGA Cannon Cup East squad. In 2003, he won the AJGA Albacoa Junior Classic in his home state of Florida. In 2004, he won the Hudson Junior Invitational in Ohio and was named to the 2004 AJGA Scholastic All-America Honor Roll.
 
A native of Longwood, Fla. Goldman attended Mississippi State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2008 and completed his MBA from MSU in 2009.
