FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – From Dec. 29 through Jan. 1, Nova Southeastern University will serve as the practice site for The Ohio State Buckeyes as the team prepares for the 2014 Discover Orange Bowl to be played at Sun Life Stadium on Friday, Jan. 3 at 8:30 p.m.
Since 2003, the NSU Soccer Complex at Nova Southeastern University has served as the host training facility for several Orange Bowl participants. In addition to Ohio State, the NSU Soccer Complex has hosted teams from Southern California, Florida State, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech have all trained at the NSU facility in preparation for the BCS showdown.
"We are excited to continue to play a major role in the community with the hosting of the Ohio State Buckeyes for the 2014 Discover Orange Bowl," NSU Director of Athletics Michael Mominey said. "The tradition and pageantry of this week's festival is something that we embrace and it really speaks to our engagement in the community and beyond."
For the next four days, the Buckeyes will make the 40-minute charter from their team headquarters to Nova Southeastern University and the NSU Soccer Complex where they will continue their season training until the big day.
