Student-Athletes Receive Recognition At The 4.0 Luncheon




FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern University student-athletes were honored for their achievements in the classroom at the 4.0 luncheon. The luncheon honored the athletes who were successful in their prospective sports and were able to maintain a 4.0 GPA.

The student-athlete 4.0 luncheon recognizes those student-athletes who have received a 4.0 GPA in the winter of 2012 and fall 2012 semesters. The student-athletes in attendance received a unique opportunity and the honor of dining with the university President and CEO Dr. George L. Hanbury II, University Provost and Executive VP for Academic Affairs Frank De Piano, Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Jacqueline A. Travisano and Director of Athletics Michael Mominey. The student-athletes and coaches also had the honor of sharing their exceptional and honorable experiences at NSU with the university executive office and the athletic department.

“The experience of being a student athlete has taught me the discipline necessary to succeed in academics athletics and in life,” said student-athlete attendee Robert Moise.  “I am blessed and thankful to have the experience to speak with and have lunch with the president and other high authorities at the university.”
