FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern Alumna Taylor Collins wins the Golf Channel's hit reality competition Big Break Mexico and receives an exemption to compete on the LPGA Tour at the 2013 Lorena Ochoa Invitational from Nov. 14-17.
Collins, the final female remaining on the program over the final three weeks, receives a handfull of prizes, including an endorsement contract from Adams Golf and a total of $50,000. The complete package is valued at $100,000. Collins has been the most successful female on the show, helping her team survive more eliminations than any other group. For her win, every member of Team Maya received a cash prize of $5,000.
Collins was a member of the NSU women's golf team from from 2007-2011, where she was part of three national championships and won an individual title her senior year. She was also a three-time All American during her time at NSU.
Collins defeated Matthew Galloway 2 up in their 18 hole match at IBEROSTAR Playa Paraiso Golf Club in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Like Collins, Galloway was also a three-time NCAA Division II All American. Galloway played collegiately at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Fla.

-On winning the championship on the final hole: "I just told myself, 'You've been messing around all 18 holes, it's time to step up and get it in the hole.' I wanted to get this shot up and down to prove a point to myself."
-On winning Adams Golf equipment: "I'm using the same clubs I've had for five years. And I've never been fitted for clubs. That's why I went on the show. I'm pretty excited about it."
-On receiving an exemption to the Lorena Ochoa Invitational: "I thought that was the best prize of all."
