Collins Misses Cut at Big Break Invitational

Score of +24 is six points off of cut line

GREENSBORO, Ga. – Former NSU women's golfer Taylor Collins finished tied for 18th, with the top 12 females moving on after Wednesday's second round of the inaugural Big Break Invitational played at Reynolds Plantation.

Again playing under the Modified Stableford format, Collins followed up her +13 score from round one with a +11 on Wednesday. All 11 points came on pars, with no birdies for additional points for Collins, nor any double bogeys or worse that would have taken points away. In total, the four-year Shark had two birdies and 20 pars in 36 holes of play.

The top 12 female golfers moved on to Thursday's third round and match play, led by Ryann O'Toole at +57, 11 points better than Emily Talley. The last three above the cut line, all tying for 10th, were at +30 (Mallory Blackwelder, Stefanie Kenoyer and Carling Nolan).

Following Thursday, the six winning golfers will move into the final round and stroke play. They will be thrown into the mix with the top six male golfers on the other side to determine the first-ever BBI champion.
