FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University women's golf squad stayed pat at No. 3 in the Golfstat relative rankings, released Wednesday on the company's website.
Golfstat's rankings are based on comparative record, which is a head-to-head comparison of all DII schools, putting the Sharks behind only Florida Tech and Grand Valley State. Ties are broken by relative win percentage, pushing NSU just ahead of defending National Champion Lynn.
"Our ranking after a few tournaments proves we can compete with the nation's best teams," said head coach Amanda Brown. "If we keep working hard and improving, we have the talent to be in contention for a National Championship in May. Although we have yet to play our best as a team, I'm very proud of the work this team has put in to keeping getting better each day and expecting excellence from themselves at all times. I look forward to our last fall tournament and a great spring season."
Ashland, Indianapolis, Central Oklahoma, Flagler, Augustana (South Dakota) and Dallas Baptist round out the top 10. Other ranked SSC schools are Saint Leo (No. 13), Rollins (No. 14), Barry (No. 16) and Florida Southern (No. 23). The full rankings can be viewed by selecting the DII dropdown link at
