SAAC to Participate in Make-A-Wish Week of Wishes

SAAC will kick off week with dodge ball tournament and cookout.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will participate in the Make-A-Wish Foundation Week of Wishes to raise money for the cause. The Sharks will host three events, beginning with a dodge ball tournament and pool party Saturday, Oct. 4.

The dodge ball tournament will take place on the outdoor basketball courts at the Don Taft University Center at 3 p.m. Six-person teams can enter the tournament for $20. Afterwards, free food will be available at the RecPlex pool and Radio X will supply the entertainment. All are encouraged to attend the pool party, regardless of participation in the dodge ball tournament, and donations will be taken for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For more information, contact Haley McKissack at HM413@nova.edu.

On Friday, Oct. 10 at 3 p.m., SAAC will host its annual video game tournament in the Don Taft University Center pit. Anyone can participate in the tournament, including students from neighboring schools. All proceeds from the tournament will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Finally, on Wednesday, Oct. 15, Liguori's Fired Up! in Davie will host NSU SAAC Make-A-Wish Dinner Night. From 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., 10 percent of all sales will be donated to the SAAC Make-A-Wish campaign.
