Sharks Hoop School Official SiteFORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University women's basketball coaching staff will host the 2014 Sharks Hoop School, the only collegiate basketball camp offered in Broward County, with the first session coming in mid-June at the NSU Arena in the Don Taft University Center.
The Sharks are coming off of the two best seasons in program history, bolstered by the in-game coaching and thorough advanced scouting of assistant coaches
Brook Kohlheim and
Abbie Tepe. They, along with NSU head coach and co-camp director
LeAnn Freeland, will provide three separate clinics focusing on reaching and mastering the fundamentals of the game.
The first available dates are for Session 1 of Hoop School, June 16-19 for players entering grades 5-12. Those campers wishing to attend the Nike Girls Elite Camp, for grades 5-10, can register for the camp to be held June 23-26. The final clinic, for Session 2 of Hoop School, will take place July 14-17, for grades 5-12. Cost of any of the three camps is $240 per person, with $25 off for additional siblings. NSU employees receive $25 off each camp as well.
"Our goal is to give players a chance to work on the weaknesses of their game," said Kohlheim. "Every camper will go through the drills and fundamentals that we teach our team throughout our playing season. Our entire staff will work with each player so they receive direct instruction from collegiate coaches throughout the day."
