WINTER PARK, Fla. – Nova Southeastern softball senior
(Jr., Umatilla, Fla.), who earned a second-team nod as an outfielder. Spicola was second on the team in batting average at .342 and led the Sharks in her final season in on-base percentage (.469), runs scored (33), triples (four), stolen bases (12) and walks (27).
Garcia becomes the team's third SSC Player of the Year award in the last eight years, joining Lauren Lopez in 2010 and Katie Veltri in 2007. Here is the full list of all players honored on Tuesday:
