MIAMI – Nova Southeastern University Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach
Cameron Clark placed second Sunday at the MIA Classic, South Florida's premier Olympic style weightlifting competition.
Clark contended in the 69 kilogram weight class, competing in both the snatch and clean and jerk events. Her second-place run was highlighted by an 85 kg clean and jerk on her first attempt.
Clark, along with Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
Steve Orris and is staff, works directly with NSU student-athletes on a daily basis. The mission of the strength and conditioning staff is to provide a well designed, collaborative training program based on sound physiological principles. The staff works with the student-athletes in the NSU Strength and Conditioning Complex, a state-of-the-art 5,500 square foot private center that is designated for NSU student-athletes only.
The MIA Classic is the biggest USAW sanctioned Olympic style weightlifting competition in South Florida and anywhere south of Orlando. All proceeds from the event are donated to a different charity each year the event is put on.
