Three Rowers Named CRCA All-Americans

All three honorees receive accolade for the first time.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Three Nova Southeastern University rowers have been named first-time All-Americans by the Collegiate Rowing Association. Megan O'Donnell (Jr., Lake Worth, Fla.) and Courtney Berger (Sr., Sarasota, Fla.) were each named to the first team while Emily Harrington (Sr., Virginia Beach, Va.) received second-team honors.

The three student-athletes competed all season long in NSU's varsity-8 boat, leading NSU to be ranked No. 1 in the country throughout the year. Berger served as the coxswain while O'Donnell and Harrington rowed in the boat that won the Division II Varsity-8 Championship at the Aberdeen Dad Vail regatta, defeating NCAA National Champions Humboldt State in the process.

The trio, all receiving All-American honors for the first time, also led the Sharks to the program's sixth Sunshine State Conference title while Berger and O'Donnell each received All-SSC honors. Because of their effort, the rowing team now holds more SSC titles than any other team on campus. During the lead up to conference, NSU also took home the championship at the Florida Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship.

The Sharks' three honorees ties for the most All-Americans in a season for the program. NSU has now had multiple student-athletes honored as All-Americans for three straight seasons.
