FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University Athletic Department and the office of President George Hanbury held a luncheon Monday to honor the elite academic performers among NSU's student-athletes.
 
Invited to the luncheon at Grande Oaks were student-athletes who had achieved a 3.8 GPA or higher in either of the last two semesters, their coaches and a faculty member of their choice. Dr. Steve Russo, NSU's Faculty Athletic Representative, served as the emcee while Dr. Hanbury, Brian Cahill (Sr., Arlington, Va.) and Candice Johnson (Sr., Chuluota, Fla.) all served as speakers.
