NORMAN, Okla. – Four Nova Southeastern University men's golfers earned Division II PING All-American honors as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Tuesday.
Santiago Gomez (Jr., Armenia, Colombia), who ended the season as the No. 1-ranked player in DII and took home the Nicklaus Award as the top player in the nation, was joined on the PING First Team by teammate
Richard Mansell (So., Staffordshire, England), as previously announced (
nsusharks.com/news/2015/5/20/MGOLF_0520154434.aspx?path=mgolf). Mansell was ranked second in the country for most of the season and finished No. 3 at the end of the year.
Capping off a great four-year career with his third All-American nod was Second Team honoree
Oscar Lengdèn (Sr., Helsingborg, Sweden), while earning his first nod in his debut season was freshman
Priyanshu Singh (Delhi, India), as a Third Team member. Lengdèn wrapped his final season as the No. 9 player in DII, while Singh was 31st.
The Shark quartet were among 13 Sunshine State Conference men's golfers recognized among the three All-American teams on Tuesday, with five more selected as Honorable Mention. Here is the list in its entirety:
