FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Nova Southeastern University rowing head coach
Devin Fay has announced the hiring of
Anna Lindgren-Streicher as assistant coach.
Lindgren-Streicher brings a wealth of experience after filling various roles for the Tufts University rowing coaching staff for the past 12 years. From novice women's coach to associate men's head coach, she has stacked her resume and according to head coach Fay will be a strong asset for the Sharks.
"We are glad to welcome Anna to our coaching staff," said Fay. "She brings extensive experience from working with both the men's and women's teams at Tufts University. Her knowledge and skill set will be integral in developing the young women on our squad into successful high level rowers."
As a coach at Tufts, Lindgren-Streicher was responsible for recruiting, physical and technical training plans and managing athlete eligibility. She also recruited and coached walk-on athletes that went on to compete in the NCAA DIII rowing championships.
Along with her successes from Tufts, Lindgren-Streicher was also a part of a men's team coaching staff that lead the team to a seven-place improvement in team standings between the 2015 and 2016 seasons at the New England Rowing Championships.
Lindgren-Streicher earned her bachelors in psychology from Tufts in 2004, where she competed on the varsity women's rowing team for four years.
