FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern continued its ascension up the national rankings on Tuesday, setting a new program mark after coming in at No. 9 in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll. In addition, the Sharks traded places with Sunshine State Conference foe Rollins and now own the top spot in the South Region with just one week remaining in the regular season.
Nova Southeastern sat at No. 14 one week ago, but has since cracked the Top-10 after extending its current unbeaten streak to 10 games with a scoreless draw against reigning SSC champion Barry and a 2-0 shutout victory over Eckerd. The blanking of the Tritons helped the Sharks improve to 10-1-3 overall this season, giving head coach
John Constable double-digit victories in each of his first two seasons in Fort Lauderdale.
Unbeaten Western Washington held firm atop the rankings, followed by three-time defending national champion Grand Valley State, No. 3 West Chester, No. 4 Central Missouri and No. 5 Columbus State.
