NEW ORLEANS, La. - Nova Southeastern University men's and women's track and field team was honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association with 21 single event All-Region inclusions, as announced by the Peach Belt Conference office on Thursday, May 19.
In order to be included in the All-Region lists, an athlete must either be ranked in the top five of an individual event in the region according to final Track & Field Results Reporting System data or be part of a top three relay team. A total of ten women and six men were included to All-Region lists from the Sharks squads, some athletes having up multiple mentions in different events.
The Sharks will be represented in the upcoming NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Bradenton, Florida through
Shakira Bartley (Jr., West Palm Beach, Fla. ),
Sherrelle Jordan (Jr., Chandler, Ariz. ),
Shannon Rolle (Jr., Miami, Fla.) and
Ciona Williams (Sr., Stockton, Calif.). The three events NSU will have participants in are the women's 4x100 meter relay, 100 meter dash, and 100 meter hurdles.
