SKILLMAN, N.J. – Nova Southeastern University women's tennis team makes it to the top in latest ITA national rankings, as publicized by the organization on Wednesday, June 1.
NSU women's tennis team closed off their 2015-16 season with feat in the last ITA Tennis rankings. The top Shark,
Klaudia Boczova (Jr., Bratislava, Slovakia) established herself in the second spot of the ITA Division II national rankings and first place in the South region rankings. Her persistence and dominance on the court earned her the highest singles seat for the Sharks.
Sabrina Kierberg (Jr., Munich, Germany) finished the year off in the 25th national spot and ninth best in the South region, followed by senior teammate
Petra Jurova (Sr., Bratislava, Slovakia) in the 38th place in national singles and 11th in the South. Boczova and Kierberg had dual honors for their doubles performance during the season, which placed them in the sixth best doubles squad of the ITA national poll and third in the respective region.
Overall the Sharks were ranked as the eighth best team in the nation and fifth in the South according to ITA's latest rankings publication. The remarkable run for the Sharks has closed, but a new season will for women's tennis once again in the fall of 2016.
