NSU will then hit the road, traveling to Pueblo, Colo. for the CSU-Pueblo Steel & Silver Classic, hosting by Colorado State University-Pueblo on September 9

"The first two weekends are going to be a great test to see where our new lineup is at in comparison to some high level competition," said head coach Jenn King. "We will be playing Adelphi University, the East Region finalist, in our 2016 Shark Invitational, and then we will play NCAA Semifinalist Wayne St. (Neb) when we head west for the Steel & Silver Classic at CSU Pueblo. This will be a perfect warm up to head into Sunshine State Conference play and I'm excited to see how we will compete."
Following the CSU-Pueblo Steel & Silver Classic, the Sharks will begin SSC play on the road against Lynn on Sept. 16 and Barry on Sept. 17, followed by a return home to take on Florida Southern on Sept. 23 and Eckerd on Sept. 24. NSU will then travel to Rollins and Embry Riddle on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 before returned home for Oct. 4 and Oct. 6 dates with Palm Beach Atlantic and Florida Tech, respectively.
The SSC/Gulf South Conference Crossover will take place in Orlando on Oct. 14-15 and will be a clash between South Region rivals who will likely meet again later in the season in the South Region tournament that begins on Dec. 1.
Following the Crossover, the Sharks conclude their schedule with 12 straight SSC matches, including their final home matches on the Nov. 18 and Nov. 19 against Saint Leo and Tampa, respectively.
"Losing the senior class we had is always tough," said King. "With that said, have a great core of returners who will continue the success we've had and help the new players acclimate quickly. I am eager to build on our GR1T culture and add to the tradition of Sharks Athletics."
