FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – After earlier revealing seven members of his incoming class, Nova Southeastern University men's and women's cross country and track and field head coach
Bryan Hagopian is pleased to announce four more freshmen making their way to campus for the 2016-17 season.
The Sharks' newest quartet can be seen below, with each supplying reasoning for why they chose NSU:
Adam Eurbin (Cross-Country / Distance) - East Hampton HS, East Hampton, Connecticut
I chose NSU not only for the beautiful location in sunny Florida, unlike Connecticut, but also for their focus of my major in Marine Biology. I was further swayed by the good word spoken of the cross country and track coaches and the work they do with the team and how it shows in meet results. I look forward to unleashing my true potential as a runner as well as academically in college! Ready to be a Shark!
Megan Knights (Heptathlon) – Windham HS, Windham, Maine
Coming from Maine, it was honestly a dream come true when I was contacted by Nova Southeastern University. The moment I stepped on campus, I knew this was going to be my home for the next four years. This college had everything I wanted: the resources available to help me become successful in environmental science, a determined and motivated track team, welcoming coaches, a prime location where it doesn't snow, and a beautiful campus with a bonus of two pools. I am so excited to be a Shark and run for NSU!
Jared Robinson (Sprints) – Oak Hall HS, Gainesville, Florida
I chose NSU because it has a beautiful campus, a very nice staff and excellent coaches. I am looking forward to pursuing a degree in legal studies and becoming a valuable part of the track team. Thank you for the opportunity and go Sharks!
Katie Tallman (Throws) – West York HS, York, Pennsylvania
As soon as I stepped onto NSU's campus, I could feel that I was in the right place. The open space, palm trees, and friendly people drew me in. As an incoming freshman, I am excited to meet the team, compete at the collegiate level, and start my journey as a marine biologist. Even though I'll be far from home, NSU will be a great destination. Fins up!
