CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Two Nova Southeastern University women's golfers were honored on Tuesday as All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association.
Sophomore
Jamie Freedman (Miami Beach, Fla.), for the second straight year, and freshman
Aldana Foigel (Plottier, Argentina) received this prestigious national award and are part of a select group, with just 16 Sunshine State Conference women's golfers recognized.
Both Sharks had at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA in 2015-16 to be eligible for inclusion. In total, 828 women's golfers were announced as All-American Scholars on Tuesday.
About the Women's Golf Coaches Association
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents nearly 600 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
