FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – After solid performances at the Shark Invitational last weekend, Nova Southeastern swimmers Jenna Johns and Franco Lupoli earned the first Sunshine State Conference Swimmer of the Week awards as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Johns earns her first-ever weekly accolade following her impressive collegiate debut. The Ambler, Penn. native led the women's team in scoring, guiding them to the team crown with individual titles in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke along with a pair of NCAA B-cut times in the 50 and 100 freestyle. Furthermore, the freshman was also the anchor in the 200 Freestyle relay that finished first with an NCAA A standard time of 1:34.61.

Lupoli claims his second ever award of his career with a dominating performance in the 500 and 1,000 yard freestyle. The senior claimed first in both events with NCAA B-cut times 4:32.25 and 9:23.09 respectively. Lupoli also scored points in the 200 yard freestyle finishing third with a time of 1:41.93.
