Sharks Tabbed Third in CSCAA Preseason Poll

NSU one of five SSC schools in the Top-25

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Following their performance in the Shark Invitational last weekend, both the Nova Southeastern men's and women's swimming teams enter the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) preseason poll at No. 3 as announced on Monday night. The poll aims to measure the top teams in head-to-head competition.

The 2017 National Champions, Queens (N.C.) sits atop the poll on the men's side with 200 points, followed by Drury (192) and NSU (178). The top-two spots are flipped for the women's side as Drury (124) leads of Queens (121) by three points. The Sharks trail Drury for first by 10 points with 114.

Joining the Sharks from the Sunshine State Conference in the preseason poll are Florida Southern, Florida Tech, Saint Leo, and Tampa. On the men's side, the Moccasins and Spartans crack the Top-10 sitting at No. 9 and 10. On the women's side, the Sharks are the only SSC team in the Top-10.

The Sharks will return to the pool starting this Friday, Oct. 20, to compete in the DII Showcase hosted by Florida Tech in Melbourne, Fla.
