FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Back in a familiar position, Nova Southeastern jumped seven spots up No. 13 in this week's United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II women's national poll.
The Sharks held an identical ranking just three weeks prior, but fell out of the Top-25 altogether after Hurricane Irma kept the team off the field for a two-week stretch. However, following three wins in its last four matches, Nova Southeastern has run its record to 7-1 overall and sits in prime position nearing the midway point of the season.
Following their lone defeat against Flagler on September 23, the Sharks bounced back admirably with a pair of Sunshine State Conference victories a week ago versus Florida Tech and Rollins. Six different players scored the six combined goals in the two wins as Nova Southeastern ran its league mark to a perfect 3-0. The Sharks currently boast the SSC's top offensive attack, averaging 2.5 goals per game.

John Constable's club replaced North Alabama atop the South Region rankings, followed by Mississippi College and Lee. Meanwhile, Kutztown climbed to No.1 in the national poll. Central Missouri came in at No. 2, with Western Washington, Grand Valley State and Flagler rounding out the Top-5.
