DII Announces 2017-18 Basketball Showcase

Schedule includes 28 men’s and women’s games on ESPN3.

INDIANAPOLIS — NCAA Division II announced 28 men's and women's basketball games that will be streamed live during the 2017-18 season on ESPN3. This year, the Nova Southeastern men's and women's basketball teams will both be featured.

The basketball showcase unveiled today will initially feature 14 doubleheaders starting with Chico State and Humboldt State on Saturday, Nov. 18. An additional four flex doubleheaders (eight games total) will be finalized later, and the games are expected to highlight premier and pivotal matchups toward the end of the season.

On Feb. 17, 2018 the Sharks' series against host Barry University will be streamed, with the women at 2:00 p.m., followed by the men at 4:00 p.m.

"We are excited for the opportunity to feature our institution and our basketball teams as part the of the Division II ESPN3 package," explained Director of Athletics Michael Mominey. "This will certainly be a great matchup given the rivalry of NSU and Barry and I would expect by that time of the year, there will be a lot on the line as far as conference and regional selection."

The currently scheduled games will feature 14 of the 24 basketball-sponsoring conferences in Division II and are selected from a pool of conference nominations. One conference has signed a separate broadcast agreement and will not be included this season.
