FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Earlier this month, the Nova Southeastern Athletic Academic Services department hosted its "Will You Be My Resume?" event in which a number of student-athletes were provided the opportunity to network and have their resumes critiqued by professionals in a speed dating-like environment.
 
Rotating from station-to-station, the student-athletes were put through rapid simulated interviews, where they were able to improve their professional presence and receive suggested adjustments and advice in regards to their futures.
 
"It was a good experience," said Paige Napolitano, a member of the Nova Southeastern women's soccer team. "I received some brutally honest comments, but I got some good tips. I plan to develop my resume better by volunteering more, joining some campus organizations and obtaining an internship this summer." 
 
Napolitano and her peers weren't the only ones who spoke positively of the experience, but even some of the professionals in attendance were wowed by what they saw.
 
"I was incredibly impressed with the professional approach by these students toward this event," said Randy Eubanks of Suncoast Marketing. "They exceeded my expectations with regard to the preparation by the student-athletes."
