FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern University women's tennis players
Luicelena Perez and
Isabella Lowrey received their first-collegiate national rankings as announced Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Perez jumps to the ninth spot in the Division II singles rankings after her most recent win over previously third-ranked Hannah Volikova of UIndy. The win gave the Valencia, Venezuela native a 9-0 record on the season. Paired with Lowrey in doubles, the duo sits in the No. 23 spot with a 6-2 record.
"That is awesome for the girls to receive national ranking," head coach
Doug Neagle said. "Both girls have stepped up playing in the top flight in doubles and LP is a great singles player. They both face some tough opponents in the upcoming matches and I am looking forward to see how they perform."
The Sharks will face newly ranked No. 2 Lynn on Monday, Mar. 27 at the NSU Tennis Complex at 3:00 p.m.
