FORT LAUDERDALE – With installation already underway, Nova Southeastern University has partnered with Nevco for their new LED video display and scoring solution for the recently named Rick Case Arena on NSU's main campus in Fort Lauderdale. Installation is scheduled to be complete by mid July, 2017.

Rick Case Arena, home of the Sharks basketball and volleyball teams with seating capacity of 4,500, is adding new enhancements for the game day atmosphere that will feature a jaw-dropping Nevco 6mm LED video display. The new display will stand over 12 feet high and will stretch nearly 32 feet wide, with the ability to show live game action, fan prompts, sponsorship messages, and up-to-the-second stats and virtual scoring in over 960,000 vibrant pixels.

"The addition of the video board and all of the ancillary equipment provided by our great partner Nevco, will positively effect and certainly change the game environment of our basketball games and volleyball matches," said Director of Athletics Michael Mominey. "This project has been a long time coming and it will be exciting to see the reaction of all the fans and visitors that attend events in the Rick Case Arena. There is no doubt that NSU has some of the best facilities on any campus anywhere in the country, and this improvement proves the commitment to excellence once again."

Nova Southeastern University will utilize Nevco's proprietary Display Director™ software to operate their video display and new LED scorers' tables. The software simplifies game-day operations and controls all LED units, including the display and scorers tables, from the easy-to-use touchscreen interface. The wall-mounted display will feature content and zoning capabilities which will allow for full screen game action or a combination of multiple zones to show live feed, statistic information, animations and sponsorship messages simultaneously.

Topping off the arena's scoring solution upgrades with more of Nevco's integrated product line includes Custom Model 2700 scoreboards with electronic team names and side stat panels, 60 feet of 10mm LED scorers tables, shot clocks, end-of-period lights and locker room clocks.

In addition to the latest technology of digital scoring solutions, Nova Southeastern is adding a completely rebuilt and enhanced sound system with zoning capabilities to host multiple events simultaneously as well as a brand new video control room that will provide the video content to the new scoring displays.
