FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern rowing team will be holding open tryouts at the start of the fall semester – no previous rowing experience is needed to join.
To learn more, fill out the walk-on questionnaire and attend either of the informational meetings. These meetings will give you more information about the team, go over the tryout process, answer your questions and give you a chance to meet members of the varsity squad.

What is the time commitment?
Varsity team members in season typically spend about 20 hours on team-related activities. Most of our practices are in the morning, before classes start. We have some afternoon strength & conditioning sessions as well.

The answer is probably yes. We have women with majors across the spectrum on the team.
How much does it cost?
As a varsity sport at NSU, there is no cost to you to take part. When you initially join the team, there is a $75 fee ($90 for international students) to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
Will I get to compete this fall?
There will be one race at the end of the fall season that walk-on athletes will compete in. You'll be competing alongside the varsity squad throughout our spring racing season.
