FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Nova Southeastern University women's soccer head coach John Constable is pleased to announce the addition of 13 newcomers that will be joining the team for the upcoming 2017 fall season. The list of new players are detailed below:

Sarah Aikens
Hometown: Orlando, Fla.
Position: Goalkeeper
Height: 5'6
Previous School: Boone High School
Club team: Orlando City
 
Constable on Sarah "Sarah is a goal keeper who did well at our camp last summer. She can make big saves and is calm and composed in the goal. Sarah comes here having played and been coached at a high level at Orlando City FC. We look forward to seeing what she can bring to the program. We expect her to compete for minutes as a freshman. We shall have a good goalkeeper department this fall with Sarah being an important part of that."
 
Kaitlyn Chomko
Hometown: Chicago, Ill.
Position: Forward/Attacking Midfield
Height: 5'4
Previous School: Warren Township High School
Club team: FC Lake County
 
Constable on Kaitlyn "Kaitlyn scored a lot of goals at our soccer camp last year. She always seemed to be in the right place at the right time, and if she ever wasn't, she made sure she got there. She is a composed finisher and is capable of scoring and providing assists. She has good technique and can create space well for herself on the field. She can also beat players off the dribble and is ice cool inside the 18. We are looking forward to seeing Kaitlyn contribute to the program's successes over the next few years. I am hopeful she has a few goals in her this upcoming fall."

Sofia Del Stabile
Hometown: Villa Vicentina, Italy
Position: Forward
Height: 5'9
Previous School: Scientific High School Albert Einstein, Cervignano del Friuli

Constable on Sofia "Sofia caught our attention after scoring four goals for her country versus Wales in a Euro qualifying game. She will compete for playing time at the center forward and attacking central midfield positions here. She is tall, strong, good in the air, has a great shot and is capable of running away from players. Sofia is currently the top scorer for an Italy u19 team that qualified for the European Championships ahead of Norway and Sweden. In fact, she finished the UEFA qualifying stage with Italy as one of the top ten scorer's in Europe at the national team level. We would expect her to come in and complement the many good forward and midfield players we already have here. You can never have enough goal scorers on your roster and she is certainly that. Sofia is representing her country over the next couple of weeks at the Euros in Northern Ireland. We look forward to having her here after that wraps up."
 
Jehan Dib
Hometown: Palatine, Ill.
Position: Defender
Height: 5'6
Previous School: William Fremd High School
Club team: FC Chicago
 
Constable on Jehan "Jehan is another product of our summer soccer camp. She spent four days on campus with us last year and played at center back. She is a warrior that doesn't know when she is beat, and if she does get beat, she is quick to get back and recover. I feel she is a good defender that shall grow into an even better defender while here. We are excited to have her with us."
 
Adanna Edwards
Hometown: Miami, Fla.
Position: Forward
Height: 5'5
Previous School: John A. Ferguson High School
Club team: Kendall United
 
Constable on Adanna "We have been interested in Adanna ever since I got the job here. There had been a lot of college interest in Adanna, but we never gave up and I am glad it worked out in the end. Adanna is blazing fast, and like the many fast players we have on our team, she will cause defenders problems. She can beat players 1v1, has good shooting and crossing ability, and I would expect her to make a big impact here as a freshman. Adanna has good experience, not only having been on the ODP region team, but also through being a part of the national camp, too, which is obviously a very good level.  I see her vying for time at the 7, 9, 11 and 10 positions. We have been looking to add more speed to the team, middle to front, and in Adanna we have done this. I don't think defenders will enjoy playing against someone as quick and as strong as Adanna."
 
Shannon Hearty
Hometown: Farmingville, N.Y.
Position: Goalkeeper
Height: 5'9
Previous School: Sachem High School East
Club team: SUSA Academy
 
Constable on Shannon "Shannon has good height, size and presence, and is an all-round good goalkeeper. She came to our camp last summer and was one of the best keepers on show from both camps combined. She plays on a very successful club team and we expect her to come in and compete for minutes straight away. Shannon comes in here sharp having reached the semifinals of the NPL national tournament this summer with her club team. I went to this event and was happy with how she played. We expect Shannon to have a solid career here on and off the field, and expect her to compete for playing time immediately."
 
Anna Keffer
Hometown: Northampton, Pa.
Position: Goalkeeper
Height: 5'8
Previous School: Northampton Area High School

Constable on Anna "Anna is another goalkeeper with good size and presence that we are bringing in. She made many big saves at our soccer camp and we expect her to make many big saves here over the course of her four years. She is on the way back to 100% from an ACL injury, so patience will be required initially as we ensure we get her back to full form and fitness."
 
Brianna King
Hometown: Pickering, Canada
Position: Midfielder
Height: 5'5
Previous School: Pickering High School
Club team: Ajax FC/FC Durham
 
Constable on Brianna "Brianna has been committed to our program for over two years.  Like Adanna, she is blazing fast, which allows her to go past players with and without the ball. Brianna has good playing experience in Canada having played for some of the top teams. I see Brianna competing for time initially in the attacking areas. With some tactical work, I feel she can also be trained to play outside back. Brianna also has an incredibly powerful shot and is a long throw specialist. I feel this upcoming season we have many players capable of changing a game on their own, and Brianna is definitely another one of those players."  
 
Casandra Larin
Hometown: Ontario, Canada
Position: Midfielder
Height: 5'9
Previous School: St. Roch Secondary School
Club team: Woodbridge SC
 
Constable on Casandra "Casandra is a central midfield player that can also play in the central attacking positions. She is a former teammate of Hannah Christophe and has played on the same team as Hannah for a number of years. I have watched her on many occasions and she has impressed me. She is strong, fast, powerful, quick and has good technique. She also has a fantastic relationship on the field with Christophe, and over the years has assisted on many of Hannah's goals. This type of telepathic relationship can be useful for our program and for the overall productivity of our team. Definitely one thing I like about Casandra, though, is she is athletic. We did a lot of work with Coach Nick in the spring on improving team speed, power, strength and quickness. Casandra brings those exact athletic qualities to the table straight away, and is a huge reason why we brought her here. Ultimately, the top end of our conference is super athletic and Casandra falls into that category."
 
Laura Pedersen
Hometown: Nykøbing F., Denmark
Position: Defender
Height: 5'10
Club team: BSF (Ballerup-Skovlunde Fodbold)
 
Constable on Laura "Laura is a former Danish u19 and 17 national team player. She has already been on campus, and thoroughly enjoyed her time here with the team on and off the field. She is strong, smart, physical, and aggressive, and we feel she'll have no problem adjusting to our level of play having played in the top league in Denmark for a few years. She is also dominant in the air, both defensively and offensively. Overall she is a good player with and without the ball. and comes here a little older than your typical freshman. I believe her level of experience will be useful. We have many good center backs already on the program, and in Laura, we feel we have added another one. As a team, we have had a rather solid defensive record here over the past 12 months and we look forward to Laura coming in and helping out further with this."
 
Brandee Permenter
Hometown: Apopka, Fla.
Position: Defender
Height: 5'5
Previous School: Apopka High School
Club team: Florida Kraze Krush
 
Constable on Brandee "Brandee attended an ID camp and showed up well. She played outside back on the day and was hard to get past. She was very aggressive in the tackle and defended and supported the attack well. She also has great strength and this is useful to have in our conference. We are excited to see how she can complement the other good outside backs we already have within the program."
 
Mackenzie Ramey
Hometown: Marietta, Ga.
Position: Defender   
Height: 5'8

Constable on Mackenzie "Mackenzie attended our ID camp in 2015 and did well. She is good in the air and is aggressive in the tackle. She played for a very good team in Georgia that was well coached. Mackenzie is a good central defender with good size. She is also comfortable with the ball at her feet. We are excited to see how she does here over the next four years."
 
Bella Santini
Hometown: Boca Raton, Fla.
Position: Midfielder
Height: 5'6
Previous School: Spanish River High School
Club team: Boca United ECNL
 
Constable on Bella "Bella is a good player. She plays for Boca ECNL and is a local girl. Bella, like many of the others, is a product of our ID camp. She is a center-mid that passes and moves well. She has a good soccer brain and likes to keep things simple. She also has good fitness and endurance levels, which is important for anyone playing in the engine room of a team. We are excited to see how she grows as a player here over the next four years. We shall have a lot of depth in the middle of the field this year and Bella adds to that depth".
 
 
"We are excited with the class that we have coming in," Constable added. "They are good students and people first and foremost. We feel they can complement and help the large, talented returning class that we have coming back. On the whole, we are happy with the student-athletes that we have arriving. I am hopeful we can get a team out on the field, game by game, that can compete to win. Lastly, it is pleasing to see that our soccer camps on campus are continuing to provide us with players for our university, with over 60% of this signing class having been spotted at one of our ID camps. We look forward to seeing all of our players arriving fit and well on Saturday!"
