FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern Director of Athletics
Michael Mominey has announced the addition of Angie Jabir to the Sharks athletics staff, serving as the Business Manager for the department.
Jabir brings a wealth of cross-functional administrative knowledge and experience to the NSU athletic department, as she has served in many roles within intercollegiate athletics for the past 11 years. In her most recent position as the Associate Athletics Director of Sports Programs/Academics at the University of Dayton, Jabir was intimately involved in the operations of the department with responsibilities ranging from sports administrative oversight, leading student-athlete welfare services and working collaboratively with other campus constituencies.
"The position of business manager is quite critical in the context of our day to day operations" explained Mominey. "With that said, when you have the unique opportunity to welcome someone into the Shark family with Angie Jabir's pedigree and experience, it truly makes us better not only from an administrative perspective, but from a holistic perspective, as well. I look forward to working with Angie and the rest of our team as we get ready for an exciting 2017-18 season."
Jabir began her administrative track as the Director of Business and Student Services (Finance) at the University of Dayton in 2012, whereby she managed the annual operating budget exceeding $26 million dollars. For the past five years, she served on the senior management following three seasons as an assistant women's basketball coach for the Flyers.
"I am very excited to be joining the NSU family, it is clear that NSU is a special place," said Jabir. "The commitment shown by the university and athletic department in pursuing excellence, both athletically and academically, is first-class. I look forward to getting to know each of our coaches, student-athletes, and staff. I'd like to thank Director of Athletics Mike Mominey and
Kelley Kish for affording me this great opportunity."
