Sharks Reappear in United Soccer Coaches Top-25

NSU back in rankings at No. 20

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Following a brief stint outside the national poll, Nova Southeastern has made a well-deserved return to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II women's rankings, checking in at No. 20 this week.

The Sharks fell from No. 13 out of the Top-25 entirely after Hurricane Irma postponed four consecutive matches. In its first action back last Wednesday, though, Nova Southeastern reeled off three second-half goals to upset No. 22 Embry-Riddle on the road. The Sharks later dropped their first match of the season at home to No. 25 Flagler, but the 1-0 defeat became a little easier to swallow after the Saints climbed all the way to No. 12 in the latest rankings.

Head coach John Constable's club jumped both West Florida and Embry-Riddle to regain the No. 2 spot in the South Region. Making the move up No. 1 in the region was North Alabama, a team the Sharks knocked off 3-1 back on September 1.

Western Washington remained atop this week's poll, followed by No. 2 Kutztown, No. 3 Central Missouri, No. 4 St. Edward's and No. 5 Grand Valley State.

NSU's run of four straight Sunshine State Conference contests rolls along on Saturday as the Sharks play host to Rollins at 7 p.m. ET. For complete coverage, follow along on Twitter at @NSU_WSoccer and by clicking on the provided links on the schedule page.
