Biography

AS A SENIOR (2016)
Was a key player for the Sharks during her senior season, where she contributed to ten singles wins and ten doubles victories…Her overall record in singles closed off at 10-8 and 4-4 in conference…In doubles play she set a mark of 10-8 overall and also 4-4 in the SSC…Her biggest feat of the season was participating alongside Klaudia Boczova in the No. 1 and 2 doubles, where they recorded the second best combination for the Sharks at 7-3…Provided the Sharks with two 6-0, 6-0 sweeps in singles play against Eckerd College and Florida Southern and two 8-0 sweeps in doubles alongside Boczova against NYIT and Eckerd…Her highlight match of the season was in singles play against Hawaii Pacific, where she won the match giving the Sharks the match point with an exciting comeback and tie breaker that ended 4-6, 7-5, 6-1. 

AS A JUNIOR (2015)
Finished third on the team with 13 singles victories, in 16 total matches…Had her biggest success at 7-1 in the No. 6 draw, but also was a combined 6-2 at No. 4 and No. 5…Had five wins to start the season, and won eight of her first nine…Eleven of her victories came in straight sets.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2014)
Appeared in 20 matches on the season, almost exclusively in the third singles draw...Held a 12-8 singles record and a 4-8 doubles mark...Held a five-match winning streak in the middle of the season, which included a top-flight singles win against Southeastern...Earned a three-set win against No. 9 Rollins (4/12) to end the regular season...Earned a double-bagel win over No. 22 Tampa (2/15).

AS A FRESHMAN (2013)
Despite battling injuries throughout the year, Rizzolo was one of two players that played in all three doubles slots and at least four singles slots…With partner Iryna Serdyuk, picked up a win in doubles play against Rollins (2/17/13), 8-6…Earned wins in singles play against Eckerd and Florida Southern, both of which came in the top half of singles draws.

HIGH SCHOOL
Played four years of tennis in HS, but as a senior at Laurel Springs…Won the Lady of Valor Award…For individuals, was a district champion and semifinalist at the state championship…Only lost two matches during her entire senior season.

PERSONAL
Legal studies major and is a business minor…Says snowboarder Scott Lago is her favorite professional athlete…Favorite vacation spot is Italy…Daughter of Franco and Sue Rizzolo…Has five siblings: Kayla, Donato, Gianfranco, Kiana and Maria.
