Biography
AS A SOPHOMORE (2015-2016)
Fall 2015: Top finish came in the McDonough Cup…With 122 golfers competing, wrapped in 21st, including a middle-round 3-under 69 (73-69-72)…PIcked up an impressive international victory at the 115th Amateur Golf Championship of India…There he tied for third in the stroke play portion before winning the championship match play round in wire-to-wire fashion, 3&2.
Spring 2016: Had two top-10 showings in his first three events…Was runner-up in the Matlock Invitational (70-73-73) and took third place at the Buccaneer Invite (72-67-71)…The middle round there set a new career low.
AS A FRESHMAN (2014-15)
Fall 2014: Was the Sharks' No. 3 in the season opener, the Saint Leo Invitational, and shot a 2-over-74 in his very first round with the squad (74-77—151)…Middle round at the Guy Harvey Invitational was a 1-over-par 73 (77-73-76—226)…Saved his best round for the final 18 of the fall, a 3-under 69 at the McDonough Cup, as part of a 10th-place even-par finish (74-73-69—216).
Spring 2015: Wrapped up inaugural campaign with three individual honors — NCAA Third Team All-American, NCAA Freshman All-American, and All-South Region…Had back-to-back top-10 finishes to open the spring, slotting eighth at the Matlock Collegiate Classic (71-70-71—212) and tying for third at the Armstrong Pirate Men's Invite (71-71-74—216)…His highest finish came at the Bobcat Invitational, earning second outright in a field of 92 (69-71-69—209)…Was 20th at the SSC Championships and 14th at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional…Was a spotless 3-0 during medal/match play as the Sharks took home their second National Championship in history.
HIGH SCHOOL
Attending The Crenshaw School for two seasons where he played for coach Ian Mellor…Overall, competed for six years on the high school level…Was among the top-ranked international junior golfers, and would be 17th among native Floridians…In AJGA events, had four consecutive top-20 finishes, three placing him in the top five…He won the FCWT at Reunion Resort event with even-par total of 144 (72-72)…Made the cut at the U.S. Junior Amateur Championships after taking medalist honors at the qualifying event in Boynton Beach, Florida in late June (73-68--141).
