Nova Southeastern Athletics is committed to giving back to the community by participating in numerous service projects. Our goal is to broaden the scope of our student-athletes by getting them involved with NSU’s various community partnerships. Below are the community service events that NSU has taken apart of.

Softball Hosts StrikeOut Cancer Event On Sunday, April 10 - The Nova Southeastern University softball team partnered up with the American Cancer Society and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on Sunday, April 10 at 1 p.m. for its Annual Strikeout Cancer Event for the final game against Saint Leo.		Cross Country and Track and Field Teams Volunteer for the Ninth Annual ING Miami Marathon - The Nova Southeastern University cross country and track and field teams volunteered in the 2011 ING Miami Marathon held on Sunday, Jan. 30th. The event drew one of their biggest crowds yet with over 20,000 runners.
Baseball Gives Back to Community Through Youth Baseball Clinic -The baseball team hosted a free clinic at Rotary Park on Monday, Jan. 24. Ten players took part in the event organized by assistant coach Cliff Terracuso. The Sharks divided into different skill groups giving the children a closer one-on-one fundamental lesson of baseball techniques.		NSU Student-Athletes Volunteer For Special Olympics - NSU student-athletes spent a Saturday being active in the Special Olympics basketball tournament held in the Don Taft University Center. Over 45 student-athletes from men’s soccer, volleyball, softball, women’s tennis and swimming and diving volunteered for the event.
Cross Country and Track and Field Teams Volunteer at the 13.1 Marathon -The Nova Southeastern men’s and women’s cross country and track and field teams had 20 student-athletes participate in the 13.1 Fort Lauderdale Marathon on Nov. 14.		Baseball Gives Back to Local Youth League - The Nova Southeastern University baseball team took time away from the field to participate in the local Miracle League Program on Friday, Nov. 5th.
Volleyball Strived To Fill the Tank For Dig Pink Match - The Nova Southeastern University volleyball team seeked to Fill the Tank on Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. as this season's "Dig Pink" match.		Cheerleading Volunteers for Special Olympics Broward County - The Nova Southeastern University Cheerleaders decided to concentrate their volunteer efforts toward Special Olympics Broward County on Aug. 28 and Sept. 25.
