Smith was virtually unstoppable as the second-ranked Sharks dismantled Clayton State, 154-85, this past Saturday to improve to 4-0 this season. The junior needed only 18 minutes to rack up a career-high 29 points to go along with three rebounds and five assists. Smith shot a near-perfect 10-of-11 from the field, including 7-of-8 from beyond the arc. In addition to his point total, the effort also tied or set career bests in field goals, three-pointers and assists. The team's school-record 154 points marked the most by a DII school since West Liberty tallied 158 last November. Smith currently leads the league in both scoring (23.3 ppg) and three-point field goal percentage (70.8%).
