At the Embry Riddle Classic, Derrick Wood (Jr., Royal Palm Beach, Fla.) was the top Shark in the triple jump event and earned NSUSharks.com Athlete of the Week, claiming the only first-place finish of the day with a jump of 13.37 meters. He broke the school record in this event earlier this season at the Miami Invitational reaching a jump of 14.13 meters.
