Samira Tanaka (Sr., Sao Paulo, Brazil) helped the Sharks to a 3-1 record at the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish Showdown. The Sharks' biggest win came over Goldey-Beacom, 14-0, in the biggest blowout the team has had since March of 2012. Tanaka was involved in six of 14 runs, with two runs scored and four RBI. 

Tanaka and the softball team will look to carry this momentum into their first conference series of the year against Eckerd.
