Erika Garcia earned the SSC Player of the Week award after she led the Sharks to a 6-0 week with series sweeps over conference foes Barry and Lynn. The senior finished the week hitting .444 (8-of-18) and slugging .833 with two home runs and a double. Against Barry, Garcia earned two wins on the mound in game one and game three while also helping herself at the plate with two hits, an RBI and earning two walks. Against Lynn, she earned the win from the mound in game one, while also going 3-for-3 at the plate with a double, RBI and two runs scored in a 9-0 win. In game three against Lynn, Garcia hit home runs in back-to-back at bats.
