Alex Gynes started the season off on a very positive note as the Sharks picked up a season-opening win against Warner at home. It was a close contest in which neither team ever had full control of the game. Luckily for the Sharks, Alex Gynes had a career-night, setting his career-highs with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Gynes, who had more attempts than any other Shark, shot 43% from the field and managed to draw his way to the free throw line 17 times. With the game on the line in the second half, Gynes nailed seven of his nine free throw attempts.
