John Brooks gets named Athlete of the Week after his record setting performance against Franklin Pierce. Brooks set an NSU record with nine three-pointers made in the Sharks’ (6-4) 98-91 home win. Brooks led the team in scoring with 33 points on 11-for-18 shooting from the floor and 9-for-14 shooting from beyond the arc. He was also perfect from the free throw line. Brooks increased his points per game by two and is now the team’s second leading scorer with 13.2 ppg.
