Centerfielder Lorena Spaulding is this season's first Player of the Week for softball. She went a perfect 5-for-5 and slugged 1.000 in two games against Ave Maria. After entering the first game of the series as a pinch-runner, Spaulding delivered a walk-off hit in the eighth inning as NSU won 5-4. The outfielder then tallied four singles on four at-bats in the second game of the doubleheader. She drove in two runs while scoring one herself, and added two stolen bases in the 5-2 victory.
